THE DOCTOR The Time Lord Explorer Voila! The Doctor is a Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey in the Constellation of Kasterborous. In his youth, he abandoned the listless livelihood of his aristocratic peers and chose to become an adventurer in Time and Space. By his count, this expedition has outlasted five lifetimes—with this new sixth persona coming not a moment too soon. Born of a noble act of self-sacrifice, the Doctor is a man of science, temperament and passion! This incarnation is a heroic swashbuckler, a brilliant scientist and unexpectedly welcome philosopher. He's returned to his travels with a rallying determination. Continuing his quest to explore the wonders of the Universe and put injustices to rights wherever he goes. Presently, the Doctor is accompanied by two splendid companions, Peri Brown of the planet Earth and Frobisher of the planet Xenon. Far more the scholar in this incarnation, the Doctor will never miss an opportunity to further their understanding of the Universe. They're among his closest of friends. He considers it his personal duty to protect them. An instinct that extends to all intelligent life throughout the Galaxies. The Doctor is a fervent champion of empathy, compassion and equality. An outsider willing and able to jump headlong into lethal danger to save the innocent. He considers himself to be in the prime of his lives. Come along and explore! |

PERPUGILLIAM "PERI" BROWN The Human Botanist Peri Brown is a well-travelled botanist from 1980s America. Joining the Doctor on an extended sabbatical, her travels have taken her far beyond her college studies to places she could only imagine. It was wild, wonderful, magical and beyond cool. Although they often found themselves in danger, Peri had faith that the Doctor would sort it out. And then, one day, he couldn't. Peri was there for the Sixth Doctor during the initial aftershock of his regeneration. An ugly, traumatic experience, it left its share of lumps and bumps on their initial friendship. Nevertheless, through wit, determination and care, Peri and the Doctor forged a new friendship. Sturdier than the old one. It's weathered their worst moments and been enriched by the best days that their travels have to offer. Recently, Peri was dropped off in 1980s New York. Initially, for a flying visit that became something quite a lot longer. In that time, Peri was able to unpack and mourn the death of her mother, Janine, who had been killed in an encounter with the Cybermen. Before long, the Doctor reappeared with a new friend at his elbow, Frobisher, facing a fresh crisis for the Universe. Older and wiser, Peri feels like the metaphorical younger sister of two older brothers aboard the TARDIS. The three of them have hit it off together and find they make a pretty neat team. What more could she ask for, huh? |

AVAN "FROBISHER" TARKLU The Whifferdill Detective Frobisher is a shape-shifting whifferdill from the planet Xenon. A lonely street urchin who later, in the tradition of Philip Marlowe or Sam Spade, fell into the life of a private detective in Earth's star system. It's a tough gig. All this rummaging around garbage bins. Hearing the worst of a suspect's sins. Someone's gotta do it though, don't they? Hey, turns out, they don't. It was on one of these bounty-hunting jobs that Frobisher met—and grew to rather like—this loopy time-traveller, the Doc. Together, Time Lord and whifferdill conned a major capitalist, Josiah W. Dogbolter of IntraVenus Inc., out of his bounty on the Doctor. All §250,000 mazumas worth. Finding they made a good team, they spent a few adventures together before circumstances demanded the Doctor need another hand at his side. Frobisher met Peri on a flying visit to New York in Earthtime 1985. "Perp", as he affectionately refers to her. Before long, they became the firmest of friends and the three of them together have made for a pretty terrific team. Just one problem... Frobisher, see, has monomorphia. A chronic disease, not unlike diabetes or asthma, that stifles his ability to shape-shift. The Doc's done his best, but the problem must rest evermore with Frobisher. It needles him. Causes problems. But, nevermind, jack. He's among some of the best friends he's ever had. |
